Wimbledon: "I hope to be 100% against Shelton," says Sinner, victim of a bad fall against Dimitrov

Although he benefited from Grigor Dimitrov's terrible injury to qualify for the quarter-finals, when he was two sets down, Jannik Sinner himself has physical problems to deal with.
After falling badly in the first game of the first set , the finalist at the last Roland-Garros had requested a medical time-out and grimaced while having his elbow manipulated by the doctor. Questioned at a press conference, the world number 1, with a closed face, was evasive and very cautious about the nature of this injury: " It happened very early in the match, in the first game. It was a pretty unfortunate fall. I watched a bit of the videos, and it didn't seem serious, but I still felt it, especially on my serve and forehand. We'll see. Tomorrow we'll check what's going on, and then we'll see. Here, there are good ATP physiotherapists. The doctor is good. We're going to do an MRI to see if there's anything serious, and then we'll try to adjust ."
After reiterating that he was sincerely sorry for his unfortunate opponent, Sinner paid tribute to the Bulgarian's performance in the first two sets: " He served incredibly well, accurately but also very fast. There was a bit of wind and he handled it in the best possible way. I felt he prepared the match very well and executed it even better. Afterwards, with the roof closed, you don't know what would have happened. There were some good rallies at the beginning of the third set. I tried to stay there mentally. "

He also played a very good match against Carlos (Alcaraz) in Paris. He also knows how to play on all surfaces. I faced him last year here. It was a very, very difficult match. We'll see what happens in two days. Now I have to focus on other things and I hope to be at 100% ."
